 On the 270 mile drive home from the Pistons title game, in a *very* satisfied and spiritual state, I decided to wrap this phase of net.Headlines up. We started on February the 4th, 2000, some four years, four months and fourteen days ago. A lot has gone down since that very first link, one about Dave Letterman's cardiac problems, including my very own heart attack. Over the past year I've pondered changing formats, but the constant usership, about 80 unique hits per weekday, coupled with the excellent commentary, has held me back. But the time has come and I'm not sad. I have some new formats rolling around and will unveil one in the few weeks. I'd like to thank Kay, my co-editor, who has always been around when I ran into any problem and has pinch hit admirably many, many times. Without you, Kay, I could not have succeeded. Todd Turnbull was instrumental in the early design phase and still has my gratitude. In an effort to spice things up about two years ago I added the "comments," and it was the a great decision. Frequent commenter BIL irked me, and many others, but was a major reason I continued this blog over the past year. I always wanted, and sometimes succeeded, to get him just a lil' riled. Thanks, bro! We developed a little community on here with BIL leading the way, followed by Jan, Bren, Meeks, our oldest son Tommy/Enko and the occasional comment from John, Ali, Wayland and many others. I thank you all and am humbled by your support. I hope I can come up with something that will somehow maintain interest. Finally, ***none*** of this could have been possible without the love, patience, support and biting wit of my darling, Darling Wife. Thank you, Bobo, and have a wonderful time up at Notre Dame these next three weeks. Okay, that's it for this particular version of net.Headlines. Thanks, everyone....
