Bush's plan for the second term

As reported by the New York Times.

I read through the entire article -- twice! -- and didn't find a single thing that made me insane with rage. Maybe a new day truly is dawning.

Unhappy Democrats Need to Wait to Get Into Canada

I'm certainly in favor of streamlining this process, if Canada is willing. I'd even vote for taxpayer-funded transportation. Finally, a federal assistance program I can really get behind.

Bush Camp Certain of Win

I've been certain all along that a northern liberal couldn't carry the South and that's exactly what happened. The now-famous Red-Blue map shows that this was, to a great extent, a cultural election. Despite selecting a Southern VP candidate, the Dems couldn't carry one state south of Illinois. This election will be almost as bitter a pill for them to swallow as 2000 because the Dems lost the popular vote and now Bush can confidently reload the Supreme Court. As a result, don't look for gun control, etc to be overturned in our lifetimes.
That's what happens when you lose a cultural war by 136,000 votes.

Forget today...

My mind went to 2008 this morning.

Imagine a Giuliani/McCain ticket for the Republicans.

Is it just wishful thinking, or would that ticket be a total landslide?

The Whoppers of 2004

Factcheck.org just published an article detailing what they consider to be the biggest or most important factual misstatements of both the Bush and Kerry campaigns. Neither candidate escapes unscathed, to put it mildly. Good information to be found here, especially in the unlikely event that anyone reading this is still an undecided voter.
