Catholic Publisher Owns New Pope's Work
I went through an Ignatius Press buying spree in the 90's, but now it looks like the little press is going to go big time. It's a great source for some excellent, accessible Catholic readings, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing.

Dead Marine's E-Mail Raises Legal Issues
I can see the desire to protect the Marine's privacy, but 1) he's dead and 2) how is this any different from snail mails sent back and forth between people, and kept in shoeboxes and trunks to be found by later generations? I've kept several letters from relatives dating to 30 years ago, detailing how their kids have grown up. Since the advent of email, I have little to no such historical recordings. I wish I did, particularly as some of those writers are no longer alive.

Andrew Greeley: The case for Cardinal Ratzinger
DW passes along this pre-conclave article. I am not personally happy with the choice of Ratzinger, but the Lord works in mysterious ways. Let us pray.
