Man charged with stealing Wi-Fi access

Yet another reason why I haven't been interested in jumping on the wireless bandwagon. Last thing I need is someone hijacking my signal for illicit purposes.

London bombed

I've been reading/watching the news on this all morning, and this is the part that resonates with me:

[Mayor] Livingstone, in Singapore where he supported London's successful bid to host the 2012 Olympics, said: "I want to say one thing: This was not a terrorist attack against the mighty or the powerful, it is not aimed at presidents or prime ministers, it was aimed at ordinary working-class Londoners."

I suppose it's easier to go after the London Underground than it is to attack the highly secure, fortified G8 summit, and like waste water heading towards a drain, terrorists seek the easiest route.

Senior citizens have mixed feelings about belly dancers

Having done some belly dancing myself, I can tell you that it's not exactly like going to a striptease show. Then again, it's probably more exciting than your typical night out at Applebee's.

Chicago bans cell phone use while driving

In related news, they also banned driving while eating, driving while watching TV, driving while reading the newspaper, and driving while smacking around your kids in the backseat.

...well, they should have. You know, to be consistent.

Robot Wisdom on the Street

This is the fellow who inspired me, some 5.5 years ago, to start this thing. We exchanged emails, he wished me well and then the rest is history. Weblogs exploded, he became homeless and this page just keeps slow-perking along.
