A look into lunacy
Have you heard that Dave Letterman was issued a restraining order to stay away from a loony fan? Some idiot New Mexico judge actually signed the order. Well, here's the fan's deposition and it's a fascinating glimpse into insanity.

Jim Carrey Disrupts the Today Show
Happened to see this while on the elliptical at the gym yesterday. The odd part is that I almost never watch the "Today Show" because I can't stand Katie Couric. She seems so phony. Yesterday, Couric was attempting to interview actress Bonnie Hunt when a ruckus started behind her and out of that emerged the often-times over the top Jim Carrey who was pretending to be in the crowd behind Couric. Katie made the cardinal sin of trying to ignore Carrey and move on with the insipid interview but the harder she tried the zanier Carrey got until the whole thing dissolved. I'm not a big fan of Carrey's but it was fun to see him explode Couric's strictly-scripted world. The rumor is that CBS wants Couric to replace Dan Rather and has offered her 20 mill a year. If that's true, then goodnight CBS. It's over. Unless they hire Carrey to spice things up.

Since she despises Barbie.

Gas prices could surge in 2006
Could surge? They're already surging. The local price for regular on Thanksgiving was $1.99. As of this past weekend, it's up to $2.19. I don't see any indignant howling and/or fingerpointing in the local news, though. Guess nobody wants to blame their own excessive useage.

Play the snowplow game
For someone who's never had a snow or ice-related accident, I sure did a great job smashing up the snowplow. And buildings. And hydrants. And probably pedestrians wearing white coats, hats and mittens.
