Wrath of God behind Israel bird flu?
"The Bible says that God punishes depravity first through plagues against animals and then in people," says Rabbi David Basri, a prominent sage preaching Kabbalah or Jewish mysticism. Well, all I can say is that hope the dear Rabbi never gets into a fight with another man. Because, if he does and if his wife comes to his rescue...well, let me quote Deuteronomy 25:11-12:
"When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:
Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her."

Japan keeps pressure on Cuba in World Baseball Classic
Japan is up 6-1 in the 6th in the final of The World Baseball Classic. It's 11:35 p.m. and I'm too tired to stay up, but I know one thing: If this lead holds up, a big sigh of relief will be exhaled by Major League Baseball. They set up this playoff fully expecting the US to at least make the semi's, and that didn't happen. The problem MLB overlooked was that our players came in totally out of shape and had to compete against foreign players who were in mid-season form. The biggest surprise? Korea, by far the best team, who should have been int he finals. The biggest flop: the U.S.
Canadian hockey fans will know how US baseball fans feel this morning. It is no longer our game. Baseball belongs to the world now.

Tim Horton's prepares IPO
I think it hits the market this Friday and, given the recent success of Chipotle's , it might be worthwhile to jump on the Doughnut wagon for a little ride.

Drinks with caffeine need warning labels, study
Not surprisingly a study finds that the amount of caffeine in energy drinks exceeds the FDA limit of 65mg of caffeine per 12oz serving recommended limit for cola drinks. Also not surprising is the fact that energy drinks are wildly popular. How popular are they? Just check out Hansen's stock insane rise on the past year.
I've never had one of the new energy drinks, by the way.
